Is there a free plan?

No — one paid plan is the whole business model. Nobody’s data gets sold, nothing is funded by ads, and there are no investors expecting this to become something else later. Subscriptions are the only money that comes in, which is exactly why the 30-day trial asks for no card: you should find out whether this is worth $7 before you pay anything.

Why no credit card for the trial?

Because a card up front is a bet that you’ll forget to cancel, and that’s a rotten way to earn $7 a month. Start collecting, let it backfill your history, and decide at the end of 30 days. If you do nothing, nothing happens.

What does pay-what-you-want mean?

On the annual plan you choose the amount, starting at $42. Every amount buys the identical product — there is no better version further up the slider. People who can pay more keep the lights on for people who can’t, and the minimum is a perfectly respectable place to sit.

Who owns my data?

You do. We hold it so the collectors can run three times a day without your laptop being open, and it stays yours the whole time: download a complete copy — every point, tag and timestamp — from Settings whenever you like. It is never sold, never shared, and never used to train anything.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in a couple of clicks, with no retention dance and no phone call. Download a copy before you go — the export button works even after the subscription ends — and you leave with the whole history, every point, every tag, every timestamp, not a summary of it.

What does the $7 actually cover?

Servers, storage, backups, and the people who get woken up when a disk fills — plus building the next source. At $84 a year this is a small, independent product rather than a venture-funded one, and the plan is for it to stay that way.
